Questions, answered directly
We'd rather over-explain than have you guess. If something isn't covered here, ask us and we'll answer it properly.
The product
What exactly is Furava?
A daily longevity supplement for adult dogs, in granule form. It goes on top of regular food — no pills, no routine to build around.
What does it support?
Seven systems: joints and mobility, heart, gut, brain, skin and coat, cellular health, and dental. Not seven separate products — one scoop, formulated to support them together.
Is this a joint supplement?
No. Joint support is part of it, but a joint-only product ignores that mobility, inflammation, and recovery are connected to metabolism, gut health, and stress load. We built for the whole picture.
Will it replace my dog's food?
No. Furava is a topper that sits alongside a complete diet, not a substitute for one.
How long before I notice anything?
Longevity support is measured in months, not days. Any product promising visible results in a week is selling something other than what we're building. We'd rather set that expectation honestly up front.
The formula
What's actually in it?
Green-lipped mussel, curcumin, MSM, glucosamine, chondroitin, UC-II collagen, taurine, L-carnitine, algae-derived omega-3s, CoQ10, vitamin E, MCT powder, inulin, a postbiotic blend, and sodium hexametaphosphate. Full doses are published as we finalize production.
Why no proprietary blends?
Because a proprietary blend lets a brand list an impressive ingredient without disclosing how little of it is actually in there. If we're asking you to give your dog something every day for years, you should be able to see the numbers.
Does it contain probiotics?
No — we use a postbiotic blend instead. Live probiotic cultures are difficult to keep viable in a dry, shelf-stable format; many products list them on the label even though a meaningful number don't survive to the bowl.
Why algae omega-3s instead of fish oil?
Fish oil oxidizes quickly in a dry format, which degrades the product and creates off smells that dogs reject. Algae-derived EPA and DHA are more stable, and it keeps the ingredient story cleaner.
Why glucosamine, chondroitin, AND UC-II if green-lipped mussel is your lead joint ingredient?
They work through genuinely different mechanisms. Glucosamine and chondroitin supply structural building blocks. UC-II works through oral tolerance — training the immune system to reduce joint inflammation — which is why its effective dose is small rather than large. Green-lipped mussel does the heavy lifting; the others are deliberate, evidence-based reinforcement, not padding.
How does a powder support dental health?
Sodium hexametaphosphate binds calcium in saliva to reduce tartar mineralization. It works chemically rather than mechanically, which is why it doesn't need to be a chew.
What about kidney and liver support?
Both matter in aging dogs — enough that we didn't want to address them halfway with token doses. Those are planned as a dedicated future product.
Dosing and use
How is it dosed?
By your dog's weight, using a tiered scoop chart — not one flat scoop for every dog. A ten-pound dog and a hundred-pound dog shouldn't receive the same amount of anything, and most of the category ignores this.
Can I give it to a puppy?
Furava is formulated for adult dogs. Puppies have different nutritional requirements, and a growth-stage diet shouldn't be supplemented without veterinary guidance.
Is it safe for senior dogs?
Yes — senior dogs are a core part of who this is built for. If your dog has an existing condition or takes medication, talk to your vet first, as you would with any new daily supplement.
My dog is a picky eater. Will they eat it?
Palatability is a real formulation challenge, not an afterthought — particularly because MSM is bitter. We're working through savory palatant systems and bitterness mitigation with our manufacturer rather than hoping it works out.
Can I use it alongside other supplements?
Usually, but it depends what they are — stacking multiple products often means doubling up on the same ingredients without realizing. Worth a conversation with your vet, and one of the reasons we publish full doses.
The brand
Who makes Furava?
Two brothers — John and Ty Zulim — based in Bend, Oregon. Lifelong dog owners, with backgrounds in systems engineering and human longevity. Not a private-label brand reselling someone else's stock formula.
When does it launch?
We're in final formulation and manufacturing conversations now. Early access members hear first, before any public announcement.
Why are you taking so long?
Because we'd rather ship something we can defend than something we can ship quickly. Every ingredient had to earn its place against canine-specific evidence, and we've cut the ones that couldn't.
Will you publish the full formula?
Yes, with individual doses, once production is final. That's the entire point of the brand.
